Project : Reclaimer is a project I am currently working on in Unity to develop my skills in both programming and games design. It has evolved over the past year in both it's look and the main gameplay features. A few videos of the different stages of the process can be seen to the left.

I envision this game to become a mixture between Super Meat Boy and Bulletstorm, combining fast paced 2D platforming with reflex shooting and contextual combo building.

Some of the current features implemented are :

  • Fast paced 2D platforming with double jumping, wall jumping, slope sliding etc.

  • Combo points system

  • Destructible barriers

  • Smart camera system

  • Simple flying enemy AI

  • Splat texturing for particle systems

  • Intuitive controls with Xbox pad support

  • Polygon creator tool

I am hoping to carry on with this project alongside my final year of university to create a playable demo with 10-20 levels, with varying difficulty, to choose from.
